Stump of the Month

This huge stump is from a 55 year old willow that has been both a blessing and a nuisance, especially during the last 20 years.

Our massive spruce tree was dying from the roots being covered in concrete for its lifetime. We had it removed two years earlier, but the stump was fully encased in concrete and the stump overlapped it fully.

One single large maple tree. Stump 4 foot diameter. Not sure of age, the house was built in 1968 but this block was the site of a demonstration farm in the early 1900’s.
